ODYSSEY BATTERY
The ODYSSEY battery makes full use of AGM technology and combines in a single battery the features of two independent batteries. It provides extremely high starting power while at the same time has an extended number of life cycles as well as a huge deep discharge tolerance before being recharged. So we could say for sure that it is a long distance champion and a speed champion both in the same person.
This battery is capable of providing engine starting pulses in excess of 2300A for 5 seconds. It also has 400 charge/discharge duty cycles at 80% depth of discharge (DOD), whereas a typical starting, lighting and ignition (LI) battery is known to do one or the other, but not both. In our example, it has the limitation of being either a sprinter or a long-distance runner. The ODYSSEY battery, on the other hand, does both - it either provides short-duration high-intensity pulses or long-duration low-intensity discharges.
PROVEN LONGER LIFETIME
With a lifetime of 8-12 years and a run time of 3-10 years, the ODYSSEY battery saves you time and money because it doesn't need to be replaced as often. The ODYSSEY battery comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the case of speedboats or 3-full-years warranty for use in automotive, commercial or heavy-duty marine applications.
OUTSTANDING STARTUP AND FAST CHARGING CAPACITY
The 5-second starting power of ODYSSEY batteries is two to three times more than the equivalent size of conventional batteries, even when the temperature is up to 40 degrees Celsius. Also, with simple constant voltage charging (alternator or independent charger) there is no limitation to the starting current and thus the user feels safe since the charging will be done quickly.
FLEXIBILITY OF INSTALLATION
The ODYSSEY battery can be installed in any orientation (except inverted) without "sacrificing" any of its technical performance. There is no risk of any acid leakage because the ODYSSEY battery recycles the internal gases during operation or charging. The sealed design of the ODYSSEY battery eliminates the need for an acid vent tube, which eliminates the risk of acid burns or damage to expensive chrome plating or painted surfaces.
EXCELLENT TOLERANCE TO VIBRATION
The ODYSSEY battery is manufactured according to military specifications and has successfully passed extremely tough tests. As a result it ranks up on top in terms of resistance to mechanical stress.
READY TO USE
ODYSSEY batteries are delivered fully charged. If your ODYSSEY battery voltage is 12.65 Volts or higher, simply install the battery in your vehicle and you're ready to go! If its voltage is less than 12.65 Volts, you can boost the charge, following the instructions contained in the ODYSSEY battery instruction manual or its technical manual. By increasing the charging of the battery there is no fear of damage even if its voltage shows more than 12.65 Volts.
SECURE SHIPMENT
Due to its dry charge design, the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S.D.O.T) has classified the ODYSSEY battery as a leak-proof battery, meaning it can be transported without any problems by express mail service or by air.
LONGER STORAGE TIME
Unlike conventional batteries that need to be recharged every 6 to 12 weeks, the ODYSSEY battery, when fully charged, can be stored up to 2 years at 25 degrees Celsius. Then by simply recharging it, the ODYSSEY battery returns to full power. At lower temperatures, storage periods are even longer.
POSSIBILITY OF RECHARGING AFTER LARGE DISCHARGE
In the event that the ODYSSEY battery becomes highly discharged, simply recharge it.
